Melissa Olson Meeks grew up in a small farming town in Nebraska. She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature with a certificate in Film and Media Studies from Washington University in St. Louis and currently serves as a Courage to Create Visionary with the Writing Barn in Austin, TX, where she lives with her spouse and two children, plus dogs and many many plants.
